PLEASE DON'T COME BACK HERE! ADD THE NEW ADDRESS TO YOUR BOOKMARKS OR READER!!!

I've enjoyed my time over here at blogger but the new site makes it MUCH easier to upload photos. Life is too short.

The tree, the family

Woa- still super busy, but HAD to throw something up here so the blog feels loved too.

Here is a shot my man took of the family tonight. (From his iphone camera. That was a not-so-subtle way of me eluding to the fact that we now carry iphone. Thanks in-laws, you rock! xoxo)

P.S. Between the boots and Will's crazed butterfly pose, this is one of my new faves.

A few things...

Wow. When I don't post for a week, that means I have been shooting A LOT and don't have any extra seconds in the day for fun blogging. There have been so many images over the last week that I am excited about- but in the sake of time management, I am only posting one.

This was from a shoot in Rockridge. The little girl was an angel -towards the end of the shoot, her mom let her hair down and man, it just glowed. (She was watering the plants in the backyard.)

Other notes:
To keep myself from going stir-crazy, I am been listening to This American Life while I edit photos, fill holiday orders, etc. I love it. If you don't know this show, that's ok, just click the link and you can listen to all the episodes for free.

Lastly:
Looking for a cool way to do some holiday shopping? Head over to this great event on Saturday at the Oakland CCA campus:

You'll be supporting local artists and giving gifts that are unique and beautiful. My friend and designer of my logo created the promo- pretty cool, huh? She'll be there selling her luscious letterpress cards.

Happy Tuesday to you all -I am diving back into the radio show and piles of photos... :)

Jennifer and Joshua

Here are some favorite shots from the Sunday wedding of last weekend! It was a busy weekend for me- 2 weddings. I have to say, by the end of Sunday night I was actually having such a good time on the dance floor that I didn't want to leave! The band WAS amazing. I will get their info and post it here... Both weddings were comprised of such good people, great friends and wonderful couples to work with. Thanks for a fun weekend and many congrats!!!

Here are Jennifer and Joshua seeing each other for the first time all day:

Probably my personal favorite from the day:

Jen's mother-in-law was a blast, and they were an amazing team in planning the wedding together.

She has amazing friends!

Ah, the guys... thanks for goofing off for me!

Cynthia & Eric

I shot this lovely wedding last Saturday, here are images from my first batch of processing!

Her dress was stunning AND she found it up the week before the big day!

I loved the fall colors:

We took the photos of Cynthia and Eric before the ceremony, so as not to spoil that special moment of seeing his bride for the first time, we set up a meeting at the train station. Sweet Cynthia was trying so hard not to cry! I love this series of the two of them:

I loved the train station...

More to come tomorrow!! And many congrats to you both!!!

Dulce Nico

I had a mini-session last week with little Nico. She usually models to-die-for smocks for her mom's lux store, but this time we just wandered around my house and talked about dogs. I love Nico; she has such a nice aura about her...

Another nice morning in the park- these kids are so cute -and I loved how New England the scene was, with all the colored leaves on the grounds... Great seeing you all again!

The New Top Chef Season

...starts in t-minus 14 minutes. If anyone in this house wakes up and needs me in the next hour, they better start packing their knives.

Here is my top-chef-mom moment: Will eating ground beets with creamcheese.

Little Mahana

I loved getting away from it all and heading over to this sweet pad in Tiburon: Lapping shores? Check. Living doll? Check. Cool parents? Done and done.

Thanks for the nice afternoon guys! Your slideshow will be ready tomorrow!

Greta and Harry...

I met these guys three years ago at an event I did at Tumble and Tea. Last Saturday I got to spend the morning with them- capturing the fam in their fine duds! The kids were adorable and parents so mellow and nice.

Morning at Chrissy Fields

This is our second year together- these guys are really sweet and Dominique is such a happy little guy. We spent the morning at Chrissy Fields, one of their favorite haunts. Of course we planned on getting the bridge into the action, but it was covered in fog within 5 minutes. Ah, San Francisco...

Little Sunshine

This little beauty is our friend and neighbor. She is a dollop of pure sweetness... I'll never believe her mom if she tells me she's had a tantrum. Impossible.

The Smokin' Schmokels

This is our third year together- I feel so lucky to know families year after year, and document the changes and growth in their children. These two are so gorgeous, it kills me. Sometimes I am so in the moment when I am photographing that it doesn't sink in -but then I get to editing and am blown away by the beauty that comes through in childrens' eyes. Does that sound corny? Maybe, but it is also the truth -so there. :)

Morning stroll in Rockridge

I met this lovely family 3 years ago. This year, they had a great idea. Start at the house, and then follow them on their Saturday morning ritual of getting a cookie in Rockridge and strolling around. Loved the concept. And it was especially great to start the shoot with Little Man rocking out for me on his drums, keyboard and guitar. Right on...

Field Trip from ...

Yesterday, Will's preschool (which we do love) went on a field trip to Smith Family Farm. Sounds innocent and sweet, but for me -it was like a Reality Show Endurance Test and I kept hoping someone would vote me off the island.

We started with driving through the Caldecott Tunnel, which is my preferred spot for a panic attack, had an hour-long drive into the abyss-land past Walnut Creek, and no nap for the sweaty baby. My highlight moment was carrying 2 pumpkins in ripping plastic bags, one slippery baby in arms, and 2 huge diaper bags digging into my shoulder. I was trying to get to the car -parked in the farthest spot, while Will took off in the opposite direction. Woa.

Thankfully one of the dads played acoustic guitar during lunch and it was some one's birthday so I got a cupcake. (Yes, I forgot lunch for myself. THAT is how you loose the baby weight.)

Anyways, here are the photos -taken with my crappy point-and-shoot (I know, I know). I jazzed them up a bit and now they crack me up. Will had a GREAT time -and my wonderful friend Megan was along for the ride, so we could laugh together.

Full Disclosure: She has TWIN one year olds that were strapped to her, so I am a total wimp for any complaint.

Can you smell the heat?:

Between mouthfuls of hay:

I'm pretty sure this was the guy that made me park so far away:

"Why? why?"

Our chill ride to the pumpkins:

Oh my god! I picture of myself I actually like. The whole trip was worth it.

I love holding-the-camera out shots. And who doesn't look good in Ray-Bans??

Saturday in the Park

I love this family- they are always up for anything. 3 outfit changes and... hats! :)
Enjoy, guys!

Oakland Family

Such a great family! I went to their house last Saturday afternoon -gorgeous yard (mom is a retired landscape arch.) and a wonderful mellow vibe. The little guy goes to Will's school, and is a total sweetheart. They also had the dad's sister and little cousin along for the fun!
