Field Trip from ...

Yesterday, Will's preschool (which we do love) went on a field trip to Smith Family Farm. Sounds innocent and sweet, but for me -it was like a Reality Show Endurance Test and I kept hoping someone would vote me off the island.

We started with driving through the Caldecott Tunnel, which is my preferred spot for a panic attack, had an hour-long drive into the abyss-land past Walnut Creek, and no nap for the sweaty baby. My highlight moment was carrying 2 pumpkins in ripping plastic bags, one slippery baby in arms, and 2 huge diaper bags digging into my shoulder. I was trying to get to the car -parked in the farthest spot, while Will took off in the opposite direction. Woa.

Thankfully one of the dads played acoustic guitar during lunch and it was some one's birthday so I got a cupcake. (Yes, I forgot lunch for myself. THAT is how you loose the baby weight.)

Anyways, here are the photos -taken with my crappy point-and-shoot (I know, I know). I jazzed them up a bit and now they crack me up. Will had a GREAT time -and my wonderful friend Megan was along for the ride, so we could laugh together.

Full Disclosure: She has TWIN one year olds that were strapped to her, so I am a total wimp for any complaint.

Can you smell the heat?:

Between mouthfuls of hay:

I'm pretty sure this was the guy that made me park so far away:

"Why? why?"

Our chill ride to the pumpkins:

Oh my god! I picture of myself I actually like. The whole trip was worth it.

I love holding-the-camera out shots. And who doesn't look good in Ray-Bans??
